Chapter Advocacy, 2022

We are sorry that again this year we were not able to hold our Day at the Capital activities in person and hope to do so next year. Participating continues to be extremely important. There are many issues that are or will become important. For example, reducing the burden of prior authorization by requiring insurance companies to shorten turn around time to decisions and considering the "god card" for providers with no denials; eliminating noncompete restrictive covenants for employed surgeons; and establishing a state-wide trauma system.
