Dear Fellows, Associates, Residents and Students:
It is time once again to call for abstracts for the Annual Meeting of the Indiana Chapter American College of Surgeons (INFACS). The format for the meeting will be a single full day session on Saturday April 26, 2025.
We are seeking three types of submissions: (1) Research abstracts (clinical or basic science); (2) Surgical Video; and (3) Interesting (complex, innovative procedures or therapies, novel) cases.
Fellow, Associate, Resident, and Student ACS/Chapter members are invited to submit an Abstract Submission Form accompanied by an abstract on a single 8 ½” x 11” sheet of paper that should include a title, name and title of authors, one learning objective, and abstract text. Previously presented but not published data is acceptable and may be submitted.
Surgical Videos may involve interesting or difficult cases or “How-I-Do-It” educational content. Draft videos (unedited) are acceptable for initial submission; however, only the edited version will be eligible for presentation. Videos presented by residents/students are eligible for the Competition.
The Resident/Student Competition awards four cash prizes of $500.00 each: The Willis Dew Gatch award for General Surgery; The Leonard Ensminger and R. Morton Bolman awards for Trauma; and the Carl H. McCaskey award for Surgical Subspecialty. Submissions will be reviewed and selected for oral/video presentation during the Annual Meeting. This work is to be presented by residents or students. Submissions not selected for presentation will be invited to participate for prizes in a separate poster competition.
The period to accept Abstract Submissions for the 2025 Annual Scientific Meeting is now closed. The Submission form can be submitted on the website; abstracts must be emailed. Or email both to jrinebold@infacs.org.
